Hello everyone! First post! I recently built my first desktop PC 3 weeks ago, but it doesn't have a videocard yet! (due to budget constraints). Im currently running on integrated Haswell graphics for the meantime, on a 1366x768 display. I would just like to know what sub $200 card you guys recommend for a 1080p display as im also planning on getting a decent 1080p computer monitor as well. Im not a hardcore graphics junkie. My personal preference when it comes to gfx settings is i always disable antialiasing and motion blur and shadows to low, then keep everything else from high to ultra (max). So what do you pros recommend? :-)

If you dont mind doing mail in rebates, you can get a 7950 for $219 with a $20 mail in rebate to bring it to $199. Newegg has the Sapphire 7950 at ths price with the rebate as of this morning. I run 2x 7950's, first one I paid $400 for, second one $300. For $199 you wont find a better card. You aso get 3 free games.

Hi. My offer - MSI 660 2GB OC. It overclocks very well, is silent, and powerful of course.

For monitor, I don't know, it depends what you want from it : Low response time, contrast ratio...

I'm really tight on budget, and plan to keeping cost for both the monitor and the card at or under $300. I'm also considering the older 660, but I'm leaning towards the newer 650 ti boost ($170). It's a bit less powerful, but some people say it can go head-to-head with the older 660, plus it consumes less power. Not sure about this though. Do you think the additional $30 can justify the slight increase in performance?

I picked up a used GTX570 a while back. If you watch eBay you can get them well below the $200 mark. I'm quite pleased with it.
