Is this a RAM issue? - Computer beeps then freezes

Hi,

Recently built a new computer, all went fine. Used a mobo bundle with RAM/CPU already dealt with.
(Novatech Motherboard Bundle - AMD Trinity A6-5400K - 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 - AMD A55 motherboard - Onboard Radeon HD 7000)

So I installed Windows got everything working, no problems. However now, after a seemingly random amount of time of use, the computer will beep and the screen freezes.

My immediate thought is that there is an issue with the RAM, but I cannot move the mouse cursor when this happens which leads me to believe it may be PSU related. This doesn't happen everyday, but on the days it does, the system will usually begin the beeping again after a reset.

any ideas?

Well, check if itsn't RAM.
Click the Windows 'start' button (used to be a start button anyhow) and type "memory" in the run/search box and run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. Choose 'Restart now...' or 'Check for problems...' as appropriate and let it run the check against your memory. It will display the results when windows next loads (pending any lockups).

Hi, thanks for the quick reply!
Just tried to do as you suggested, and now there is no monitor output! The computer itself is still fine, fans on etc but no monitor output.

EDIT: Restarted then monitor output returned, but the beeps began nearly immediately.
EDIT 2: Ok so after the beep, computer restarted and again no monitor output.

I think that's the ram issue or a thermal issue.
Open the system, detach the ram from slot, clean it and attach it to the ram slot.
If its a thermal event then the beep sound will be different
Beep........Beep......beep sound is heard when some component of system is not attached properly.
while for heating(thermal) event the sound of beeps are different.

It would be good if u reassemble(re attach) the whole system and clean it.
for display problem run the monitor on integrated graphics to check whether graphic card is faulty or not.
reattach the graphic card.
