My laptop:
HP Pavilion G6-2399sa
AMD A10-4600M APU Processor
RAM 8GB
Hard Drive 1TB
Radeon HD 7660G

First off I want to know if it's possible for me to change my graphics card, if yes what are there certain guidelines I have to follow when choosing my replacement card? If there are any helpful websites you can direct me to that would be great also.

Thank you :)

Hi, looking at your laptop specs, it would appear you cannot upgrade your GPU. Your kinda snookered there. That's the nature of laptops - closed systems with few upgrade options, apart from adding memory or perhaps a new CPU in the same class, and thermal envelope as your current CPU.

Oh that sucks. Thanks for your help and the fast reply.

You don't actually have a separate graphics card. the "7660G" card mentioned is the approximation of the graphics portion of your APU (AMD's A series are CPU/GPU built into one chip). The number is about what card it would be equivalent to, if such a card existed.

no problem. your welcome! Dont' forget to select best answer :)
