today when i woke up i turned on my pc it run smoothly for first 15 minutes after that it crashed......
i restarted but it was automatically restarting......
after few hours i turned it on...again it run smoothly but after few minutes it crashed this happens several times ....
then somehow my eyes went on cpu and motherboard temp. it was over 60 degrees even i was not running any background programs ....

also when i checked task manager cpu usage was not steady ....even they were on average 20-24%....they even rise to 50-70% when i drag anything .....

currently my average temperature is 60-80 without any background programs running....and around 40 degrees if i use tune up utilities economy mode..

my specs
AMD X2 560 BE 3.3Ghz..unlocked to X4 b60...
4 gb g.skill ram
asus M4N68T-M LE V2 motherboard
Amd Hd 6670 2gb ddr3 graphics card
usual heatsink which comes with the motherboard
and beetle bt-450 powersupply...

friends please help ...any suggestions will be appreciated

Thakns..

could be something to do with your unlocked core. Those chips are binned because of a problem with voltages, or other manufacturing problems on those chips. They have reduced cores for a reason. Maybe try leaving your chip at stock, and see if that makes a difference.

i turned off the extra cores still no effect...
could it be because of a virus or somthing else....

then I would agree with Jonathan, most definitely seems like a hardware issue. AS jonathan has said, your temps are way high. Re-seat CPU with some decent thermal compound like Arctic Silver 5. or whichever good one you can get in your area.

It could also be a fan is not working correctly. maybe check those too.

Can't see it being software related, OS, virus etc.

Thermal paste is what transfers the heat to the heatsink which then dissipates and is remove by convection currents created by the fan.

If you remove the CPU cooler, then reapply it without changing the thermal paste, it may make the temps even higher due to dust, particles etc getting into the paste, remove the paste with 100% alcohol, clean it, then reapply arctic silver 5 (small pea sized amount in the center of the processor) then place the cpu cooler down gently, wiggle the cooler VERY SLIGHTLY AND GENTLY then screw back together and check tests, if there is still an issue, id say your cpu/cooler is faulty.

CPU paste very rarely drys up but the paste that comes with coolers is rubbish anyway

It will not be a virus, the worst a virus can do is make your pc run at 100% loads or steal/ruin/deleted documents, files etc, a CPU at 100% load shouldnt be at 60-80c

GOOD LUCK!

A virus can do A LOT more than that.

Like what?

I second the suggestion to reapply thermal paste and make sure that the heat sink is sitting nice and flush with the CPU's heatspreader. Don't leave any of the old residue either, it will simply increase the chance of air bubbles remaining in between the two surfaces, and air hasn't got a good reputation for thermal conductivity. :)

Like whatever it was written to do.

Ofcourse all viruses are created for different purposes, but ive never came across a virus that does anything other than imbed itself into files/documents to prevent use of certain applications, steal files from the computer, monitor what the user is doing on the computer, running the computer at different loads to make it unusable if you do not have a good CPU/enough ram, have you every came across a virus or heard of one what does something other than this?

I have had a virus clean out my entire HDD after scanning every file, and I couldn't do anything (except turn off my pc).

Wow, never had that happen... That is why id never use the internet without a high quality anti-virus (presuming you didnt have one)
But in future, should you be in that situation, Id recommend turning your internet modem off asap, and then run a anti-virus scan.

CPU Temp:
Idle - 20-40°c
Load - 40-70°c
As long as your temperatures are under 80°c (I don't like being about 70°c) you'll be fine

Not sure on motherboard temperature but i'm sure under 50°c is okay (not sure on mo'bo')

Mine idles around 10 degrees but only reaches 40 during full loads (CPU overclocked to 4.9ghz). But then again, mine's liquid cooled.
