I have 2 USB controllers, and neither work with some of the games that state that an XBOX 360 controller is supported. I realize that mine are not 360 controllers, but what really is the difference, and in most cases will the game actually recognize, and play with a 360 controller??? Maybe a dumb question, but what the hay!

yes, you should be able to use your Logitech controller. You will have to manually configure it as I mentioned earlier. It is not rocket science to do, but certainly sometimes a little patience is needed as you get it right. Always save any changes you make before trying them out (I mean when you configure new buttons etc) otherwise after a system...

although some games don't support profiles for certain controllers, you can always manually configure them to work. Just go to your game settings, controller, and there will be an option to manually configure (or at least there should be). I have an Xbox controller for the PC, and a standard type. The standard type has to be configured manually for most games.

Both of my PC controller are older.. Logitech Precision, (non-analog), and Logitech Wingman. My other question is do I absolutely need to get an Xbox 360 controller for say a game like Burnout Paradise that states it supports the Xbox 360 controller, or can I configure the Wingman to work just as well? I am fairly new to PC gaming, so I have never configured my controllers before.

Oh, got it. Yes, I have done this before for other older games, but a game like Burnout Paradise, (older, but a little newer than others I have done it on), it does not even allow me to even get to an options menu to make changes, etc. It does however, state that the game supports Xbox 360 controllers. If there is not a big difference between the 360 controller, and other USB PC controllers, what is the problem then?
