Plan on using motherboard's raid controller at this time.

I load large files for editing and want the read/write speed boost of RAID 0 while they're on my SSD for editing. Also I'll put my OS on it because I don't have any other SSDs to put it on. I heard something about SSDs in RAID o not supporting TRIM, but I wasn't sure if that was still true or what the work-arounds are.

I couldn't find any direct mention of RAID 0 and Trim on my SSD manufacturer's website, so I'm not sure if I should be looking at Z87 chipsets for information or if I should be look at Gigbyte.....

Either an answer or a direction of where to look for an answer would be much appreciated.

Solution
quick google search would have yielded :http://www.anandtech.com/show/6477/trim-raid0-ssd-arrays-work-with-intel-6series-motherboards-too

in conclusion, trim will work with H67, Z77, Z87, H87 ,z68

just download the lastest intel RST driver from Intel.com

Thank you.

I wasn't sure if you needed to get an Intel Brand mobo to get the raid controller with support for Trim in RAID 0 or if it worked on any listed compatible intel northbridge chipset.

yea intel has pretty decent raid controllers, if you get any of those listed chipsets, you should be fine.
