Okey so here's the deal. I bought nvidia gigabyte geforce gtx 760 and 8 gigs of corsair vengeance 1866 memory to stop the fps drops in every game that worked sort of. Now there is a problem that my games freeze and i have to ctrl+alt+del after that it says game stopped working. i have encountered this problem in crysis 3,tomb raider and metro last light. and my question is. is this problem RAM related because i had to OC to get the RAM to 1866 i had to downgrade my cpu to 3,1 ghz because if i oc it up it wont work gives me bluescreen when i play. and all the drivers are up to date. and there is one thing that doesnt relate to my problem (i guess) but dx diag shows that my processor is 2,7 ghz but bios says that is 3,1 so what the heck. i dotn have no idea what to do.

my specs are:
CPU: AMD phenom x6 3,1 GHz (default 3,2)
GPU:Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760 windforce
MOBO:M5A88-M
RAM:corsair vengeance DDR3 1866MHz 2x4gb
PSU:corsair 700w

Solution
i would try a clean install of your drivers first, grab driver fusion and the latest drivers.

uninstall current driver and dont restart.
run driver fusion and clean the nvidia drivers and amd drivers if you had one previously at all then restart.
install latest driver as custom and only install the display driver.

see if this helps at all first.

i would also update your bios also incase of compatibility problems.

your not really overclocking it( your overclocking your control if your board does not support 1866 by default without an overclock), it will just set the default of your memory to 1333 and you have to set it manually. Also did you set your timings manually 9-10-9-27? my auto was putting them was off.

check your ram voltage as well

from what you described though it is a driver problem, if it was the memory you would be blue screening from it.

as said before completely remove your drivers and do a new install of them
