A MAC filter won't stop someone that wants in. MAC addresses can be trivially spoofed.
What will stop someone is WPA2/AES, and a strong password. The actual setup method depends on your specific router model.
Would you mind telling me about details?
Thanks a lot
Using any ofa number of freely available tools, someone can listen in, recording the MAC addresses going by.
They can then change the MAC address of their device to match one of yours. Wait until that machine goes offline, and they are in.
As said...WPA2/AES with a strong password is much, much more secure. In your router settings, Wireless Security is the place to do that.
Then change each device to match.
In addition to changing the default router userid and password, and verifying remote administration is turned off.
