I'm all set to build my first gaming pc, I chose the i5 4670k for my build. But Iv read some articles floating around the internet and, I'm concerned on how AMD is in the new consoles. With AMD in consoles, I'm concerned that gaming companies will start to code with the 8 core AMD in mind. So witch is the better option for a build with future proofing in mind.

P.S. I am going to play past and current titles as well so if AMD is better future proof option witch one is best for $1500 build.

if you're building RIGHT NOW i would go with intel. If you're building with the future in mind, i would wait a few months for steamroller and see what AMD pulls out of its hat.

i have a simple answer: i guess 90% of users use LCDs and play with vsync on... if its your case than 90 FPS vs 70 it really does not mather :)  (unless is 3D with 120hz refresh rate :D )
