Both cards seem really good but I'm indecisive about which would be better. Now I have this case: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=57515&CatId=1886

I have a Radeon 5770 and it's pretty cramped in there right now. I'm afraid one of these cards would be too big so I need advice on that. Please and thank you :D

The basic GTX 770 is about 10.5" long. Though the Gigabyte Windforce units are 11" long. Where as the AMD 5770 was about 8.5" long. So you'll need about 2" of extra clearance in your case to switch cards.

Also, if you are using the generic 300W power supply that Gateway shows came in that computer you will most definitely need to replace that.

The GTX 770 is 10" long and the case is 16.27" depth so theoretically it should fit

Good call on the length. I went from memory. The standard format is 10" long.

Keep in mind the case may be 16.27" but there are drive bays in there as well. And that is the dimension given for the depth of the entire case. Not just the inside. As long as there is 1.5" between his existing card and the drive bays he can theoretically put the GTX 770 in there.

Thanks alot for your input guys 770 it is. I forgot to mention that I already have a corsair 550 PSU, and will be upgrading to an 850 so my next upgrade will hopefully not include a new PSU as well.
