Which is better? I have only managed to find one keyboard that was both, but it wasn't particularly well reviewed so I'm not too sure on that and the layout looked pretty strange. I plan to use a gaming pad for gaming so this is mostly to be used for standard typing and stuff.

Ergonomic is a marketing term, Mechanical actually refers to the type of switch underneath the keys. Nor are they necessarily mutually exclusive.
Ergonomic keyboards are typically strange shapes and layouts as they claim to be more comfortable (ergonomic) than your standard keyboard. If your after your standard keyboard layout, don't bother with "ergonomic" ones.

Mechanical, you definitely want this.
I assume you know the difference between Mechanical and Non-Mechanical keyboards, and the different kinds of Cherry MX Switchs?
