You cannot really compare two builds in completely different price ranges, from inspection both do not use money efficiently and the parts that have been chosen in each are questionable.

Both are good for every day general usage. For more intense applications such as gamings, your build won't be able to handle it while your friend could play games @ 1080p on medium-high on most games.
