Like the tittle says, I need help with UEFI. How does it work? How do I make it work? I'm planning on a new build, and I'm trying to understand, how to install windows using UEFI, and how to avoid problems. I'm prbably going with a 256 Samsung EVO SSD. Any help would be gladly accepted, as google didn't help me to understand it at all. Actually, google made it worse. Way worse.

UEFI is the new upgrade form of bios. Installation of windows will be totally tranparent to you, but the interface between your hardware and software will be greatly improved.

If you want a good guide to install W7 or W8 to a SSD, read HERE for 7 and HERE for 8.

As with "standard" bios, the UEFI interface is different for each motherboard maker, but the principle is the same. Don't be afraid of UEFI - read the ssd guides and I think you will have a better understanding. Think of UEFI as bios on steroids - much improved and much more powerful.
