Solution

Once again, Seladon is spot on. Nvidia typically makes 2GB GPUs (which is enough for gaming) and AMD likes to make 3GB GPUs. It's a little overkill but won't hurt your system. I've actually seen some 3GB GPUs that are slower than 2GBs of the same model, but with a 7970 this isn't a issue.

However, I'd suggest the MSI 970A-G46 or ASRock 970 Extreme3 instead. Get a good mobo for the 8350 to get good stable overclocks. This should still keep you under $800.

Also, if you like the NZXT Source 210, then if you get the "Elite" one and you'll have front panel USB 3.0
White is $43 and black is $49.

Shipping a case can...

Awesome! Thanks! But do I really need 3gb?

Shipping a case can add a lot to the cost. MicroCenter would charge $15-20.

Cool, would the 8350 bottleneck the 7970 without the overclock?
