I have a box of components coming my way but I don't have a new motherboard speaker to help troubleshoot in case something goes wrong. On the other hand, I do have a crappy emachines desktop I bought quite some time ago that beeps when it turns on and I'm just wondering if the beep is indicative of a speaker that will beep the troubleshooting codes. If so, is it as easy as just pulling it out of my emachines hunk of junk and using it on my new motherboard?
