In my PC build (ordering parts tomorrow) I was looking at getting a GTX 760 with a 120GB SSD as a boot drive, but I realized that for a little bit more, I could drop the SSD and get a GTX 770 instead of the 760. I was wondering if that would be more advantageous? Also, I play at 1080p and plan to SLI in the future. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes you should definitely get the 770 and just use your regular HDD. If you only use a single monitor, no need for SLI bro. That 770 is a beast!! It should max out most games today, even bf4 for sure.

You don't need SSD for gaming. Though I have an SSD as boot drive and all of my games are all in a regular 2TB Hard drive and it still boots fairly fast and no problems. :)
