Easily, use the two large slots for your cards and then stick the sound card in the top 1x slot.

yes, using a pcie x1 sound card you can plug it in above the first gpu or at the bottom of the motherboard.

Dont know if it supports what your looking for, but I use an ASUS Xonar DGX. Seen the Dolby logo in it, no idea if its got Digital Live though.

the dgx does not support dolby live sadly, only the more expensive DX does.

mmmm so i've read, but the DX does not have a digital out either which is what im looking for. I really dont want to have to spend $200 on a card that does either :[

the dx does have an optical out, its just a combined analogue and optical port. you use the rounded optical to square optical adapter. if you look on pictures one of the ports is chunky at the back, thats the combined analogue optical port.

it comes with the small to square spdif adapter.

the Astros come with a TOSLINK to 3.5mm cable so yea i have to by one for the other end. The 3.5mm has to go to the astro mix amp

the card comes with a 3.5mm to spdiff adapter i said, and yes you place the sound card in the pcie 1x port above your top graphics card or at the bottom of the case in the bottom port.
