amd overdrive plz help!

hey guys

my pc details

cpu : intel core i 5 2400 - 3.1 - cache 6mb - sandybridge

motherboard : gigabyte pa65 ud3 usb3

vga : asus amd hd 7970 3g ddr5 directcu II

ram : 2×4 gb 1333

hdd : westerndigital 500 gb blue 7200rpm

i ask about amd overdrive

my defult core clock 925 and memory clock 1375

there are sliders in core clock make it upto 1125 !

memory clock upto 1575 !

so that is danger if i overclocked the vga ?

and what best number of core clock and memory clock should i get .to be in safe side

You have a 7970, which almost universally overclock like champs.
Set the Core Clock to 1Ghz (1000Mhz) and bump the Memory to 1400Mhz. You should be able to achieve that without any additional voltage. Run Furmark for 10min or so, and then do a 3D Mark 11 benchmark run (might want to do this before you overclock as well so you can compare scores). If it can handle that, you can be fairly sure its stable. If it crashes, roll back the overclock and look into proper overclocking method.
Congrats, you now have the performance you could get from a $50 more expensive Ghz edition card.

If you want to clock higher than that, I suggest you look more into GPU overclocking and learn how to do it properly, rather than me just telling you what...
