I recently upgraded my GPU from a Radeon HD 5450 to a Gigabyte GTX 670 and have noticed my computer overheating. If I play a game for more than 20mins the PC shuts down automatically. This never used to happen with my old GPU. Specs if needed:

HDD: 320GB Seagate
MOBO: ASRock K10N78
CPU: AMD Athlon x2 250 @3.30 (Overclocked)

Those temperatures aren't overheat. You can get all the way up to 80-85°C without risking anything. So that must be something else. What power supply are you using ?

Your link doesn't work. But looks to be an Alpine Red PSU, which is a brand that I wouldn't trust.

So it must be a problem with the PSU? Before I installed the 670 it was working fine with max temperatures at 55-60

Your PSU might have a lack of power for your card. Also, by the way, your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU. Also, make sure that you cleaned the dust, having some doesn't really help with heat problems.

THANK YOU!! Cleaning out the dust REALLY helped. Now I can play for more than an hour and temp go to 45-50 max
