Hello, building PC for friend all he need from this build is smooth Dota 2 experiance, as you can see he is on budged 400$.

1. Are they? If they are cheap then thats not that bad, Dell is highly reputable and supplies alot of businesses thanks to the reliability of their products.

2. That makes sense, definetely go for the safer option :)

For this price, AMD is without a doubt better than Intel. Also, getting only one RAM module is not a good idea. Get two, to benefit from dual channel memory. Here would be the best AMD build for this price :

The most recent driver updates have really boosted performance apparently:

Since then the 13.8 beta drivers (3 days old) are said to have great performance improvements.

However i have not had to personally deal with linux and AMD cards recently.

Those benchmakrs are done on 640 2GB DDR3 version vs 7750 DDR5, just saying.




I wonder why Dell monitors are 2x cheaper compared to BenQ?
Also I wouldn't risk getting AMD card for linux just bc this is my friend build, don't want to screw him up.
