Hi, i wanted to ask a couple of questions about overclocking, if someone would reply with helpful information that would be great, and most appreciated.

1. When overclocking if you're only purpose of it is for gaming. Do you only overclock while on games, and while you aren't just keep it at stock settings?

2.And the lifespan of the CPU? Does it decrease if the overclocking is done properly, or is it inevitable that the lifespan of the CPU wont be as long as it would be, if not overclocked.

3. And the warranty of the CPU, is it void if you overclock. and if so, can they tell if it's been overclocked to decline repair, or replacement? Or can you just lie and say you haven't.

Thank you to everyone who responds.

1- No, it can help for any demanding application such as video rendering, huge photo editing, 3d
2- lifespan is reduce only if overheating or voltage is over recommendation.
3- warranty is void so if it breaks under warranty, the company won't replace it if they know it has been overclocked.
