I just bought an Acer Aspire V3-571G-9686, to be specific.
It came with a stick of 4GB A-Data and 2GB of Kingston. Both DDR2-1333.
I had the tech at the store verify the maximum speed the model supported. He said it supports up to 1600MHz RAM. So I went ahead and replaced both sticks with 2 4GB stick of HyperX 1600MHz with CAS Latency of 9 cycles.
Unfortunately, when I replaced the RAM, I discovered it's stuck running at 1333 CL9.
Is there any way I can have it run at either the 1333 CL7 or 1600 CL9 that it supports? I have basically no BIOS options.
