Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is where my question belongs or not, let me know if there would be a more helpful place to post.

Yesterday the Dell 27" U2713HM 1440p monitor. I'd been beyond excited to get this thing, but I've had nothing but problems. I tried contacting Dell support... but, as you can imagine, that was a painful process and I got absolutely nowhere with them.

The display functions fine in 1080p, however when I switch it to 1440p the screen is distorted and there will be red and greed dots, like a light static, going all across the display. I have replaced the DVI-D cable that came with it with an older one, but had the same issue. It was mentioned to me by a friend that it could be I don't have a high enough quality DVI cable to support the resolution. Is this plausible? I have moved it to different ports on my video cards and have the same result. I am running a GTX 560ti 2GB x2 in SLI mode. I have the issue in SLI and when SLI is disabled, leading me to think it is either the monitor or the cable.

I'm really at a loss here, to spend the kind of money I did on this monitor it's crappy to not have it work as desired out of the box.

Any advice you guys can offer would be tremendously helpful.
Thanks!
