Is this a good build for gaming? (and other important questions)

Hi, let me say that I am no computer expert and therefore I may be doing a lot of mistakes by wanting all of these computer parts

(here is my current build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1uEMA )

With that out of the way I have several questions,

First - I don't think I will overclock my computer but the unlocked processor is easier to find where I live, should I go for it (even though it is a little bit more expensive) or should I look harder for the locked counterpart?

Second - I don't know that much about motherboards but I went with this asus one, is it overkill? Should I get a cheaper one? Or is it the other way around, is it not good enough?

Third and last one - Pretty much the title question, is this good for gaming? Are there any changes (video card for example) I should be doing so that I can play games like Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 at (at least) medium to high configurations? I don't consider going that much over the price of 1300$ btw

A couple of suggestions
You have a full tower case and a micro-ATX board. It fits [ with a lot of room to spare] but you can change it to an ATX board and have the extra expansion options , Since you have the unlocked k sku processor you should stick with a motherboard with a Z77 chip set .

Replace the GTX 680 with a GTX 770 . Cheaper , faster

You can easily run that on a 550 watt psu so you can save some money and still have lots of headroom with a TX 650 .

I would use windows 8 . It takes a few minutes to add a free program like classic shell to add the start button and make it behave like Win 7 , and the license is better

Ah, thanks for the suggestions

Like I said I don't understand much about mobos, which one would you suggest then?

Thanks for the video card tip!

I'm just used to Windows 7 and I just like it more personally
