Hi everyone. I recently installed a VPN that uses OPENVPN on a laptop of mine, which is running windows8.
Upon connecting to the VPN, I noticed under my Network and Sharing settings, it lists the following under the Tap Adapter
Access: Internet
Connections: Local Area Connection.
Previously, whenever I used any other VPN which was openVPN based, the Tap-Windows Adapter read "No Internet Access".
In addition, when I use wireshark to capture all packets going through the tap adapter, there are literally no packets being captured.
Is it a security breach to have the TAP Adapter showing internet access? Is there cause for concern that my traffic is not properly encrypted? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you very much for anyone who can give me some answers.
