Long story short: I had a pirated windows and i am now installing a genuine copy. I am formatting all my drives just in case by using the windows setup cd but i found a system reserved partition. What is this? it says it is 100MB and has 70MB free. I read a bit of it and some people say you need it for boots and others say that if you want to delete all Operating software tracks for good, you need to delete it. Im not sure what to do and I don't want to screw things up. Please help D:

Btw, Windows 7 Profesional is the genuine copy. Pirated copy was Windows 7 Ultimate.

That is the boot partition that Windows creates. The new install will create a new one.

On the install of your valid copy, blow away all partitions, including that System Reserved. Merge them into one large space.

Yes, you do need that 100MB system reserved partition. That's where the recovery console, and, if running Ultimate or Enterprise, where BitLocker stores its encrypted key/s. It's also where the boot manager lives, so if you remove it your system will no longer boot. USAFRet is correct, just blow all partitions away when given the opportunity, the install will create a new one.
