Graphic Card Issue (AMD Raedon 5770)

So earlier today, we had a big power outage in my neighborhood. When we regained power I came across several very vexing issues with my desktop when booting it back up. My network adapter and graphics card (ADM Raedon 5770) weren't working. I can't seem to fix them, thus I came here.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, yes it has power going to it, the fans are running on the graphics card, as for the network adapter, when the ethernet cable is plugged in, the light, in the rear of the case lights up, however it doesn't on the router. If that helps any!

I've checked, the drivers, and it's only listing the onboard graphics card and none of the network adapters needed to connect to the internet. Even using the latest AMD driver for the graphics card results in a BSOD mid way through..

Here is a dxdiag(Warning wall-of-text):

  1. Best answer
sounds like it could be a few different things that got shorted, try a different power supply if you have one at all since the 12v rail on yours could have been damaged.

also check all the ports on your router with a different device to check they work incase its a port on your router that died, also try a different cable.
  2. Hmm, but wouldn't it not correctly read 12.xx within the Bios if it was a short, as well not run the fans of the GPU as well?
  3. its a funny thing, it may show 12v on the rail but no longer be able to supply enough current due to a component becoming damaged and increasing its resistance within the psu.
  4. Yea, I started thinking about it and seems it's gonna be my best route to just buy a new psu, thankfully I can get a cheap replacement. Thanks for the quick replies!
  5. even if its not the psu, it is always handy to have a spare, even a cheap one.
