I've been frantically been searching for water cooling (closed and kits) to suit my build/needs. I finally came across the EX360 w/ D5 kit, and I'm impressed so far.

From what I've read and seem to understand, this kit fits well within the Corsair 800D, but I need to know for sure. Also: would this kit be sufficient for my build?

I plan on OC'ing the 4770k to 4.0 Ghz, maybe more depending on how comfortable I feel when the time comes. And as a side note, I plan on running distilled + kill coil.

P.s. Should I consider replacing the stock 800D fans?

Thanks!

Ya eventually I will probably step up the OC'ing, but not right away. Also I picked water because the 800D is optimized for it, and has rather poor air circulation. Just in case you were wondering lol.[/quotemsg]

I'm running a 3960x at 4.5Ghz, it can definitely take the heat :p Just mount a 360mm rad on the top and you're good to go.

I have a similar setup (Swiftech Maelstrom 5 + MCP-655) so I can confirm that there's plenty of room in there for it. You could take a 4770k to 4.0 on air without breaking a sweat. If you're going to cool it with a D5 you might as well take it upwards of 4.5-4.8.

Ok cool, do you have any other fans (ie replacements to the stock) that you'd recommend?

The stock ones are pretty good and don't need to be changed. They're high quality and very quiet. Just make sure that you put static pressure fans on the radiator. I use Corsair SP120 on my radiator.
