Hello, I just recently reformatted my computer and also put in a pretty much brand new video card xfx hd 6870. I built this computer about a year ago and haven't had any frequent blue screens up until now. It shows system service exception, while also displaying one of these two files whenever I'm gaming, dxgmm1.sys and atikmdag.sys. Also happens once in a while when I'm watching videos/movies. I installed the newest drivers for the card yet still get bsods and even on drivers released previously. Any ideas on how I can get rid of the bsods? Thanks.

I was getting alot of atikmdag bsod. I had to completely unistall ati driver and reinstall. Use the AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility to clean the system of the old drivers. see if that helps

Something else if Windows is updated Microsoft released 6 updates this week or last that were causing problems and blue screens. Might want to check that. http://www.maximumpc.com/microsoft_issued_half_dozen_pr...
