My friend is building his computer and I'll be giving him my Corsair cx 430 and Evga gtx 460 1gb. Will there be enough power to supply the list of parts below? I'm currently running the gtx 460 and cx 430 with my 2006 duo core pc.

Here are three Rosewill cases. I have built similar computers into both the Challenger and the Redbone. I think they are pretty nice cases.

You'll need about 22A (255W) on the 12V rail for the CPU and GPU which that PSU provides. I usually account ~100W for the rest of the system. He should be fine as long as that PSU isn't really old and he's not going overboard with overclocking.

Recommended power for running a single 460 is 450Watts minimum for the system with a minimum of 26amps on the 12V rail(s).
Your/his CX430 provides enough power at 32amps. max. on the 12V rail so it WILL power his new system.
But, remember that as PSU's get older they tend to lose their ability to produce the maximum. Just mentioning this cause you haven't told us how old that CX is, and he might want to put a couple buck$ in the bank now and then to save for a new PSU.

He will NOT have enough power to overclock nor to run a second card (oh, never mind, only one PCI E slot).

That;s a nice little build, and that 460 is still a pretty powerful card; hope he enjoys it.

The PSU is still fairly new, I bought it last year so it's still under warranty. Thanks for the information, now I have a second question, can any of you recommend a case for the PC. Somewhere in the current case's range, I just don't like the brand of the current case but the thing is, there is a combo deal with it. I prefer a corsair or antec case.

This is Neweggs power 'browse' page for cases. Lots and Lots of cases to be found in your price range. Give it a look-see.

Good luck. The Redbone was used on my youngest grandson's build and he loves it, and it is easy to work in.
