Can AM3+ Processor works with a AM3 motherboard?

Hi, im using EMX-AMD785G-FXN AM3 and i want AMD FX processor which is an AM3+.
Do you think this will work? Thanks

Some boards were able to do that but from what I can tell not yours. I had a MSI 890FXA-GD70 that was sold as a AM3 board but was able to handle the FX-8150 with a firmware upgrade but the chipset on your board is just to old from the info I could google.
