Hi guys. Here was the build I was thinking of under $600 for a gaming PC. I live in Australia by the way. I was just wondering whether this power supply would be enough to power all my components.

CPU: i3 3220

GPU: Power Color HD 7870 2GB (found it for $210 at local store)

Power supply: Antec VP450P 450W (I was originally going to get the CX500 but it is VERY expensive here in my local store, about $100. I want to buy as many items as possible from this store instead of some online to save on shipping).

Case: Cooler Master Elite 431

Motherboard: ASRock Z77M

I already have a HDD, optical drive and RAM by the way.

Thanks.

I got a friend who is running a 7870 xt witch takes more power with a saesonic 430w
He also has a AMD Phenom X4 965
Witch takes a lot of power to run.
He doesn’t overclock
And it runs fine.

Ok cool. Is there enough headroom for any future upgrades, say 8GB of RAM instead of the 4GB I currently have? And possibly an i5 if I ever wanted to change the CPU (even though I read the i3 was plenty fast already)?

OK OK to stay on the safe side based on responses here I might move up to a Silverstone Strider 500W. How does that sound? Apparently reviews are quite good online.
