Are there any cons of playing games such as crysis 3 in power saver mode, though the settings let the processor crank up to 3.8 GHz(That's the processor's speed: i5 3570)

Solution
i would say that power saver mode is taking some of the background applications and turning their priority down, and turning the cpus priority down. So if you want full power plug you cable in. And if you ever want to boost your game more download razer game booster. It works pretty good! :D hope this helps.

I have used razor booster on my previous pc, never noticed a crazy difference. It saves on alot of RAM, but does it help in reducing the CPU usage taken up by other applications?

it doesnt decrease usage, it increases. i just thought i would add that in. but if you want to reduce usage, you could turn your brighness down. that usually helps for me.

Ehh sorry, but with usage i meant cpu usage, and i dont think cpu usage has n e thing to do with monitor brightness, please correct me if i am wrong. What i meant, by using razer is the cpu usage reduced, as other processes are terminated and the game has the processor for it's work.
