Just wanted to know if the wd caviar black is reliable enough for a 24*7 use, for movie watching and downloading torrents?

wd caviar black 24*7 use for media usage and my pc is continuously on 24*7 for downloading torrents and other things. I am looking for a primary os drive, not particularly looking for performance but more reliability. WD red will do? or black or blue? remember guys 24*7 use and reliability

One thing that I have noticed that makes hard drives last longer(particular WD Raptor drives lol) was to stick a fan in front/near them. Otherwise, it don't really matter which one you buy from a reliability stand point.

I basically said it doesn't matter which one, they will all last a long time, but the biggest determineing factor is how well you treat them. If you stick them in a case that is blistering hot, then they prolly won't last long. But if you stick a fan in front of them to keep them cool, then they should last a good long time. WD drives are mechanically similar. The biggest differences between them are in the electronics.
