Alright, so I finally got tired of dealing with games not running on my older computers and decided to build myself a decent gaming rig.

After spending about a month absorbing every little last bit of info I could, I put together a build I liked, and just ordered everything off of Amazon and Newegg yesterday. Here's what I've got:

ASUS 660TI 2GB
AMD FX6300
2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz RAM
Corsair Carbide 200R Compact ATX Case
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ Motherboard
Corsair CX750 Power Supply

(Salvaged HDD from Old Desktop)
Overall, about $700. Not too bad IMHO.

This whole build was meant for me to be able to run most games at decent settings, with room to upgrade through SLI and overclocking of the CPU without breaking the bank. However, in my stupidity, it took me until just now to figure out that Video Cards use the PCI-E slot, not the PCI slot. The motherboard only has one running at 16x. And having shown everything I picked to a few friends looking for feedback, it's become apparent that most of them aren't that knowledgeable about PC parts themselves ("Hey man, this says 2x PCI slots, that means I'm good for SLI, right?" "Sure, looks right to me.") or really aren't interested in helping me nail this down.

So, I've had to put in a cancellation for the Amazon order, and now I'm back on the hunt for a new motherboard, and you guys are the only experts I really know. End backstory.

Tl:DR I'm looking for an ATX motherboard of decent quality (for overclocking), USB 3.0, AM3+ Socket Type, Support for SLI (as in two PCI-E slots at 16x), and all at a decent price range (No more than $150 if possible). I checked out the GA-990FXA-UD3, but the reviews on it are more than troublesome. Any ideas on where I can go looking? Any help or input whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, How bout this mobo: (ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX), this one is cheap, $189. i'm in the same boat, lol
i just bought a cyberpower barebones (major upgrades needed) , i picked out most parts already (amazon, newegg)
steer clear of Cyberpower, misleading parts!!! pci-express is longer with plastic notch on the end. pci is straight, no notch
