I have a power supply OCZ ( OCZGXS700 ) 700 watt. SLI certified , it delivers 18A on every of its 4 12V rails .
I want to instal single EVGA GTX 550 Ti -2G VGA card that requires 24A on the 12V rail .
I have dual 6 pin connectors out of the power supply .
I have Intel E8400 Processor + 2 Hard Disks + 4 DDR2 modules + DVDRW
My current VGA is EVGA GSO 9600 512M ( uses 6 Pin connector )
My questions are :
* will this power supply run required VGA card
* when EVGA says that this card needs 24A on 12V rail ,, does this mean on single rail or combined rails .
* can the 12V rail ( 6 Pin connector here ) deliver the 24A if the PSU have the power ( not consumed by other extra components ).
EVGA says that the power supply will work but taking in consideration that I will get the card from overseas I will have no chance for returns .
All help appreciated , thanks .
