Hi Guys,

I want to get a PSU with 750W but all the below mentioned PSU have the same W but have a price difference. I wanna save money but i have no idea why there is a power difference.
My PC configuration is Asrock Z77 extreme 4 with i5 3570 and sli gtx660 sc. Which one would be better

COOLER MASTER GX-2 750W 80PLUS BRONZE PSU vs Antec 750W EarthWatts Green ATX Power Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze certified vs 750W Aywun MEGA POWER PRO Series 80PLUS Bronze Certified Power Supply vs Aywun 750W MEGA POWER Elite Series 80PLUS Certified Power Supply vs FSP 750W Raider Series 80Plus Silver PSU vs Corsair ATX Power Modular 750W Supply, 80 PLUS Bronze Certified

Cooler master is the costliest around $130 and Aywun mega power pro series is the cheapestat $90. The rest are around $105

Solution
For a system using two GeForce GTX 660 (non-Ti) graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 600 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 36 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum...

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

AMD FX-8120
AMD RADEON 7850 2GB GDDR5
4GB DRR3 RAM
500GB HDD

would a 500w be fine for my setup ?
thanks

Hi - of those you list the Antec EA is the best choice, the Corsair might be good if it's not the CX series.
I'd stay with the Antec, it also has the most +12v rail amps (the key spec, not tot watts) of any of the units
you list.

why not the CX line ? thats the one i was going to get

It's a step down in quality from the Antec.

could you recommend a good PSU which is around 30-40 ££££

Not 750, but maybe a 550 which is more than enough for your system:
£47+ best I could do.
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/mr/cclonline/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9 has 44 +12v amps, you need 36 +12v amps

can't go any less & still do SLI.

Why bronze, Gold is more power efficient and more better than bronze

Geesh - wish I had checked - don't like to comment on hijacked threads - I'll have to be more careful.
Thx
