when i opened my computer it says

local disk (C:) and the other says new volume (E:)

i dont want 2 hard disk drives i only want 1 and bring the 500gb from the new volume to the local disk and help please

btw no smily face it i meant to do a : ) : ) but it came like that hear lol
btw if you know a youtube video for that it would really help

Solution
Copy all needed files from E to C.
Right click computer, then manage, open Disk management.
Right click the E partition and choose delete. Then right click C and select Extend.
I suggest leaving though 2 partitions. If needing to format and reinstall Windows, you would have the possibility to copy files on E and format C.

Care.. you can only do this if they are current two partions on the same drive..
Can OP confirm this? or are they physically 2 separate drives?
If they separate drives it gets more messy

Cheers

Right. Thank you.
So, question: How many hard drives connected to the motherboard, one or two?
Or, better: can you capture the screen with Disk management and post it?

Hi friend, this is very easy, but i advise you should always have minimum two drives this will helpful for you in data recovery. The way to have only one drive is
1) Copy all the data from E to C
2) Then right click on my computer.
3) Here you see an option manage drives
4) Right click on the E and the delete option
5) Now extend your C drive.

Jez.. why do I bother!! "Css Xperts", why not just regress the discussion to the start?
Muppet!!!
