For a month my 9400 GT runs on 10 degrees higher(61-62),and its really annoying.
I did nothing before it,played same games etc.
I cleaned the pc,same issue occurs.

Sys spec:
CPU-P4 3.0ghz
Motherboard-ASUS P5GD2-X m
VGA-Nvidia 9400 GT(ASUS) 1 GB DDR2
2 GB RAM

I use Smartdoctor as temp reading program.
And i can't control the fan(no program found the vga)

It's a rather big problem for me,as you see the PC is an old one and for gaming it's vga dependant and those 10 degrees make the performance much worse.

Yes. For example diablo 3 is unplayable 5-6 fps from 24-30,and league of legends is down to 20 from 35-40.

It could be that the thermal paste has started to "go bad". Meaning the paste may have dried up and become solid. If you have not made any changes to your PC in the past month then that is likely the cause.

You need to remove the heatsink and clean off all thermal paste residue on the heatsink, the GPU chip itself and anywhere else to see residue. A simple damp cloth can be used followed by a quickly wiping the heatsink and GPU chip with rubbing alcohol. Afterwards you need to apply a fresh thin layer of thermal paste. I generally recommend Arctic Silver 5 since it is good and relatively inexpensive.
