Is stretching and bending cables to their absolute full length bad?

I currently have my CPU cable routed behind the case and through a hole in the top left corner and I am able to just barely snap it into place. It is quite evident that it is putting some strain on the cable and I'm just wondering if it is harmless to the cable? In case it matters, there is a mesh covering over all the cables.

maybe, but not likely.

If, once your computer is built, then it is just going to sit there undisturbed for a few years in a nice cool environment, then it is probably fine.

If you are going to be detaching and reattaching it several times then you will wear it out and break it eventually. If it is going to go through big temperature swings of getting warm and cold all of the time then it may wear out as well.

All of that said, the way I have my computer setup the 12V CPU power connector is stretched to it's limit and it has been running for 2 years without issue, but the system runs consistently cool, and I have only reattached it once in that 2 year period.
Strain is not good, could weaken/break socket and even possibly pull a pin out of socket as not all wires will be uniformily "strained".

There is a spec for cable harness (Flight Hardware) - Radius of bend should be no less than twice the diameter of the cable bundle. For us that means NO right angle bends - LOLs.
