Ok, so I've found that the graphics card Im using is not exactly the best peice of hardware I have ever used so Im thinking about upgrading. Im not sure whether my PSU could support another upgrade however.

Here are my specs:

PSU: 650 watt Corsair

Graphics Card: EVGA (geforce) 550ti (1440x900@60Hz) 1023MB

Windows 7 64-bit

CPU:Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHZ

RAM: 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5Q PRO TURBO (LGA 775)

Case: Haf 922

Is there anything here that needs a serious upgrade ASAP?
I was thinking of playing a little DeadSpace3 after the latest Humble Bundle haha.

~Peace~

Hi,

Well for deep space 3, you meet the requirements:

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3497&game=Dead%20Space%203

Recommended Requirements
Core 2 Quad Q6400 2.13GHz ==> your cpu is stronger
Phenom II X3 720
GeForce GTS 250 ==> more than enough
Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3

If this was my computer to play deep space 3, but if you want to play other modern games, you need to change everything. Pairing your CPU to a 660 ti or something will bottleneck the GPU.
You didn't tell us what your PSU is so I'm assuming you have a 500w. Witch is good enough for your build.
If you buy a core i5 with 660 ti but do not overclock, your PSU should be fine with 500w...

Which model PSU are you using now? An upgrade to Radeon HD 7870 or 7950 makes a huge performance difference. Your CPU is still okay for toadys games. Dont worry about the CPU, just overclock it to 3.4 or if possible to 3.6 Ghz would we fine....
