What you really want to do is to create a clone of your C drive using something like EaseUS Todo or Norton Ghost 15. You could create the clone on a partition created on your 1TB drive, but it would be best to use a different drive that is then stored in an antistatic bag not connected to your system. The cloned drive only needs to be large enough to hold what you want to be able to recover.
I clone my OS (and SRP) SSD to an old WD Raptor every month or so and it comes in very handy if things go really bad.
You could also use Windows Backup, but I find it does not work when you really need it.
