Hi there. Looking to run an app that doesn't have a wide user-base on Linux. It is definitely windows only. It does not appear to function with wine. So far, this is all I can come up with on the net...

-If an app doesn't natively run with wine, it is likely that it uses a dll that has yet to be supported by wine.

That's it. Is that the problem I'm probably running into? Is this something I help myself, or is it a large undertaking? This is definitely something I'd be willing to spend some time on if need be.

What ap? Wine HQ keeps up a DB on many programs tested in wine see if yours is there. http://appdb.winehq.org/index.php
If not, maybe we can recommend a substitute.

The program is most definitely not in the wine HQ. I also highly doubt it is something that can be replaced. It is a control application for a IP controllable sound mixer - the Symetrix Jupiter to be specific. I've checked with them and they have confirmed that wine is not currently compatible with the dll and .NET files their app uses.

I simply want to know if this is something I can at least try to approach on my own - to work on these specific dll and .NET files.
