But I have 8x2.0 actuall ports on the back so is that just listed wrong?

Yep. So, are you saying that you only have 8 USB ports on your particular board?

If that is the case, you could have an earlier revision of the board that did not have the USB3 ports. Look at your motherboard itself and find the revision number (stenciled near the model number usually).

Okay seeing as I have zero clue what you're talking about ill rephrase my question and see if that works lol.
There are 2x3.0 and 2x2.0 ports on my case. How many will plug into this motherboard? I know there are 8x2.0 and 2x3.0 on my motherboard for the back of the case. But how many of my case ports will work?

Now we are getting somewhere....

Those case ports are supposed to be connected to your internal headers. There should be 1 USB3 header and 3 USB2 headers on the motherboard.

If you have the same motherboard as the one on Newegg, look at the third picture and zoom into the bottom of the picture. There you will see those headers. Your front panel USB connectors plug into the appropriate headers. The 3 USB2 headers actually say USB when you look inside the header itself.

What make/model of case are you using?
