Hello everyone,

I am building a new gaming rig and i have some doubts about which motherboard to pick.

I am buying an i-4770k, 16gb ram (2400/cl10), 2 x gtx780 sli.
I plan to do some mild overclocking (4500-4600hz max) and use it mainly for gaming at 1440p.

I have been reading some reviews about MSI Z87 XPOWER and MPOWER MAX motherboards, and i am not sure if the MPOWER MAX would be enough or if i will have a more stable, easier to overclock rig with the XPOWER.

Here in Europe price difference is about 150 euros between them.

Thank you very much for all your answers.

I would go for the MSI Z87 MPower max because it is cheaper, and should do fine for your overclocking needs :) .

Mpower Max would be fine. But the Xpower gives a slight more overclocking ability than the MPower Max.
And XPower has more features than the MPower MAX. And i guess you dont need those features so Mpower Max will be the best or an MPower Board.

Hi.I'd like to ask about the MSI Z87 MPOWER. I ordered the MSI Z87 MPOWER Max but was just told today it wasn't in stock so I went for the MSI Z87 MPOWER. They tell me there is only 2 differences between them but it won't matter much. Can you tell me if that is correct? I am not going to overclock anything. Thank you in advance.

The Mpower Max have better cooling (the same cooling with the Mpower but with Extended Super Pipe), 3 Memory Phases, more USB Ports. And that's pretty much it.
