data lost from WD hard disk

I lost my data from WD hard disk , when I open my hard disk suddenly some folders are gone and my hard disk also got high free space

but I didnot deleted any data disk
where it can go & how i can recover

can any hack the pc and cut paste the data within few seconds............... when i open hard disk all folders are there ........then suddenly personal photo folder ...............gone away ....some folders are still there and working fine ............Is there any chance of hacking ................internet was on at that time.............
