I don't use my computer for gaming, only work related which is primarily email, Microsoft office, and the internet. The more I research video cards the more confused I get. Right now I have 3 monitors hooked up with one being routed through a usb to vga adaptor and the quality is horrible. The others are through the integrated video card. My system is as follow:
-HP Pavilion p7-115
-8gb ddr3 ram
-available expansion slots - 1 pci express x 16; 3 pci express x 1; 1 pci express mini card x 1
-AMD A8-3820 quad core 2.50ghz
-integrated graphics - AMD Radeon HD6550D graphic card
-300w power supply
-Windows 7 64 bit

I know for a fact that if I add a video card the integrated graphics go away. I am looking for a video card that will support 3 monitors since I have only one Pci express x 16 slot. I hope to not have to upgrade the power supply. Budget is a major consideration. I would really like to do this for under $300. Any suggestions?
