What is your PSU Specs? Is this a custom built computer, or from a company like HP or Dell? Also, what kind of crash is it? Game freezes, computer shuts down, stops responding, FPS drop?

What brand and model is that "500W" PSU? If it is something like an Apevia, Diablotek, or Raidmax, it might be good for 350W and that not cleanly.
And yes, this could be a RAM problem.
What motherboard do you have? If it's a cheap MSI board, its VRMs may be overheating. Please provide your full system specifications to get the most useful answers.

If it's this one: http://inter-tech.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=112%3Asl-500&Itemid=153&lang=en ...it looks like a low-end PSU-shaped object. It doesn't even have a PCIe cable; are you using an adapter, or is your card one of the rare ones that doesn't need it? That PSU claims to have 30A on +12V; I'd be surprised if it's good for 20A there. You should replace this with a quality unit. A nice 450W unit would easily be enough for your system; a 380W Antec Earthwatts would do, and won't be too expensive.

As the others suggested.
however, i think is MAY be due to an overclock, because ive had the EXACT same problem, and i fixed by removing my overclocking.
Another problem is POSSIBLY the BIOS. Again, tis only a possibility. could be a bad driver. HowevermI used to have my computer randomly freeze and the vidcard game me this error, and sometimes i didnt even get an error. To fix that, i had to update my BIOS, but be VERY VERY VERY VERY careful while doing that, you could screw up your system. So really research on how to do that, and if the above PSU suggestions dont help, approach the possibilities i have mentioned, with the emphasis being laid on the overclock and driver, and not on BIOS update. Research, get expert help and only then should you attempt to update your BIOS.

Onus, i had the same problems, drivers did NOT fix it. I went on the intel forums and learned how to update my BIOS, and that was what fixed it. Im pretty sure it the BIOS problem, however, id rather not advise it until all alternatives have been ruled out as its very risky.
