Well I recently bought a new graphics card
http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemNumber=N82E168141...
(It was recommended to me from users on this site) My pc
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
My psu is 300w
But the graphics card needs a minimum of 400w?
Yet I was told that this card should run perfectly fine on my pc

but what happens when I boot up my pc with the card in it, it just shows a black screen yet when i remove it my onboard graphics card shows display perfectly fine.

-I've reseated it multiple times
-Uninstalled onboard graphics
-Went to the bios and disabled onboard graphics and switched to pcie
-removed ram one by one and reinserted it
-checked all cables and such (were all perfectly fine)

I don't know what else to try. I'm thinking it might be my psu if not my motherboard. Yet who knows it could be the card itself but I don't think it is because the fan on it moves perfectly fine, but who knows I'm no expert. So if you know the solution please help me.

What graphics card do you have exactly? Seems like your link isn't working.

Well it doesn't seem terrible. It could be that you simply need a better PSU, but the way you describe it I'd be more likely to bet that it's a bad graphics card you have. Even if that is the case and you get your card replaced so you can boot up playing games might be too much for that weak PSU. It says 300W on it, but I doubt it can sustain anywhere close to that for any length of time. Acer doesn't pick the best PSUs for those systems after all. At the very least I would recommend a decent PSU such as

CORSAIR CX430

Antec VP-450 450W ATX
