Should I buy a Radeon X1650 Pro as an upgrade from a 9600XT?

Hi,
I have a Radeon 9600XT in my old PC
It's specs are 3.06Ghz P4 and 2GB RAM
Is it worthit to upgrade from a Radeon 9600XT to an X1650Pro with 15GBP/17.50Euro/$20?

Solution
According to the a chart I found on Toms it got 14 fps at 1280x1024. Though that was at max quality. Not sure what cpu that benchmark was run with. So it might manage to play it acceptably on low. Maybe.

I made that exact upgrade several years ago and noticed a huge improvement. Not sure how well it will still hold up today, but if you don't have the money for a new build, you should definitely see a speedup in some older games.

Oh ok, how will it go with Shader 3 games?

I mean, I can still stick with my Radeon 9600XT for shader 2.

I only had that computer for a few months before getting a completely new system, but I remember before the upgrade I could barely play Spore on low and couldn't play Bioshock at all, but then after the upgrade I could play both fluidly on medium&high. Either way I don't think any video card upgrade is going to let that computer play modern games, but it's up to you if it's worth that money to play some older games, or if you just want to set the money aside for an eventual new computer.

Very confusing, I play Spore at Medium and the card is even underclocked xD

Well this was right as it came out, so maybe it's got some patches that improved performance. And it did run prior to the upgrade, I was just shocked at how much faster it ran afterwards.

Hmm possibly, will a Radeon X1650 get me through Assassins Creed?
